Terms of use

This website is operated by Prism Psychology Ltd, a company registered in Scotland (SC707886). By using this site you agree to the terms below.

Information, not clinical advice

The content on this site is general information about psychological therapy and related services. It is not a clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment or advice for your individual situation, and it does not create a therapeutic relationship. Always seek advice from your GP or another qualified professional about your own health.

No crisis or emergency service

Prism Psychology does not provide crisis or out-of-hours support. If you need urgent help, contact your GP, call NHS 24 on 111, or call 999 in an emergency.

Enquiries and appointments

Sending an enquiry through this site does not create a booking. Therapy begins only once an initial assessment has been arranged and confirmed by email. Fees, cancellation terms and session arrangements are set out on the What to expect page and in the written agreement you receive before your first session.

Online courses

Self-paced courses are educational, not therapy, and are sold and delivered on their own platforms under the terms shown at checkout there.

Case examples

The people described in this course are composites. They are not clients, and no detail belongs to any individual. They are built from patterns that recur often enough to be worth showing.

Audio

Some lessons include short recorded practices. These are guidance, not treatment, and listening to them does not create a therapeutic relationship. They are not suitable to listen to while driving or operating anything.

Intellectual property

All text, images and course materials on this site belong to Prism Psychology Ltd unless stated otherwise. You may read and print pages for your own personal use, but may not reproduce, republish or distribute them without written permission.

External links

Links to other websites are provided for convenience. Prism Psychology Ltd is not responsible for their content or availability.

Liability

This site is provided without warranty that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Privacy and complaints

How your information is handled is set out in the Privacy Policy. Concerns about services can be raised with Dr Rachel Megahy at support@prismpsychology.co.uk, and with the Health and Care Professions Council (registration PYL17840).

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Scotland and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts. They may be updated from time to time; the version published here is the current one.
